Dog Walking — Private Walks
Private walks with Wild Sage Petcare are thoughtfully crafted to align with your dog’s individual needs. These walks can take place within your neighbourhood or nearby hiking trails or beaches, as decided by you. This service is ideal for reactive or nervous canines, intact dogs or simply for those who find comfort in strolling alone.
These tailored walks provide an opportunity for your dog to engage in an enriching adventure, exploring their surroundings and indulging in endless sniffing. While I am not a certified dog trainer, I am happy to continue reinforcing any training that you are implementing. This ensures we work together to set your dog up for success and enhance their confidence.
The Details

High quality treats, water, and waste bags are provided for each walk. I kindly request that your dog be equipped with a well-fitted harness, as well as a standard leash and collar, with both a city license tag and a name tag with owner contact information. When appropriate and upon client approval, I may use my own 6 foot leash or 20 foot long line during walks.
I always provide my clients with post-walk updates, comprising of photos, videos, and a summary detailing the walk's progress and highlights.

Private neighbourhood walks are $45 (50% discount for additional dogs from the same household). Each walk is 1 hour long, which includes pickup and drop off. These are local walks within or nearby your neighbourhood.
Private adventure walks are $45-$55 (50% discount for additional dogs from the same household). Cost is contingent on client location and hike destination. Each walk is *1 hour long, excluding travel time to and from the walk destination. These walks will occur in various on and/or off-leash walking/hiking or beach areas within and around the Penticton area.
*Your dog may be away from home from 1.5 to 2 hours depending on the walk destination.

I kindly ask that at least 48 hours notice be provided for any cancellations, unless there are health/medical issues related to your dog.
Clients with 2+ walks per week are entitled to 5 walk cancellations per year at no charge. Clients with 1 walk per week are entitled to 3 walk cancellations per year at no charge. Any additional cancellations will be charged 50% to continue to hold your dog’s time slot.
All scheduled walks are completed, rain or shine. In the event of extreme weather advisories (heat/freezing temperature warnings or severe storms), I will contact you the day prior or the morning of in order to discuss an alternative option or to reschedule your walk.
Dog Walking — Group Walks
I offer carefully curated group walks that are ideal for social dogs who would enjoy a small group off leash walk/hike, consisting of a maximum of 4 dogs in order to ensure compatibility and safety. Group walks are particularly beneficial for pet owners who may not have the time or ability to provide their dogs with sufficient exercise and socialization. It's a way for dogs to enjoy the outdoors, stay active, and build positive relationships with both humans and other dogs.
Group walks consist of supervised play and exercise in dog-friendly areas that cater to the individual needs, energy levels, and personalities of your furry friends. All dogs must first complete at least 1 trial private walk to ensure appropriate leash manners, efficient recall and compatibility.
